Welcome to The Front Porch

A place to rest, renew, and restore

The Front Porch Memphis was built with one simple goal: to create a space where everyone feels welcomed. Whether you’re here to host a meeting or event, grab coffee with a friend, or simply take a quiet moment to recharge, this is your place. We believe in the power of connection—in conversations that spark ideas, relationships that deepen over time, and spaces that invite both productivity and rest.

At the heart of it all is Second Helpings Café, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or a cup of coffee with a friend or business associate. From casual gatherings to professional events, The Front Porch is where Memphis comes to work, rest, and gather for good.

We’re proudly located in the heart of East Memphis, right on Walnut Grove near Perkins—a welcoming spot where the city naturally comes together.

The Front Porch features:

  • 7,777 square foot glass building
  • Long and inviting veranda with rocking chairs for outdoor conversations
  • Second Helpings CafĂ© – open Tuesday – Saturday to the public
  • Event Space and Meeting Room available for booking
  • Private Office Space
  • Free Monthly Events including outdoor concerts, speakers, family events and more
  • Gardens, Green Space and More

Voices from Our Community

“The peace of a front porch is the gift that every generation should experience, even if it’s just to rock back and forth to the rhythm of the day.” - Mearl Purvis, Board member

“We have a unique privilege - and space - that affords us opportunities to serve as a Front Porch where people from across the wider Memphis community can come to experience rest and renewal, grace, and the goodness of belonging.” - Dr. Stephen Cook, Second Baptist Church

“This partnership and our new location at the corner of Perkins and Walnut Grove will allow us to work towards healing our community and those we serve. We are honored to be one of the first community partners to call this new space home.” – Angela Hamblen Kelly, LCSW, Administrator for Baptist Centers for Good Grief
